About us
The RNZN Association in its current form arose from an amalgamation in 2007 of the Ex-Royal Naval Men's Association and the RNZN Association (previously the Naval Association Christchurch). A national conference is scheduled to be held biennially, with the next conference in 2011. A national newsletter, the Ditty Box, is published quarterly and available by subscription.
The North Shore Branch of the RNZN Association was formed in July 2009 by a group of individuals interested in forming a generic naval association rather than one focused on a particular ship, branch or theatre. The original membership is growing steadily as news of the new Association spreads. The current Officers of the Association are here and you can also view the Association Rules.
The 2011 Annual General Meeting was held on 1 October. The Minutes and Accounts are available here.
We do not operate clubrooms but meet at local RSA's and other venues. We are totally inclusive and partners of members are encouraged to join in all activities. If you would like to experience the fun and comradeship, then join us.
